Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Cell Pet Salon In San Jose




Rachel Murphy was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog Toto went through over the weekend. Rachel claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Toto r’s lips shut.

Rachel explained, "My pet was clearly distressed. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Toto r's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.


Wow! My Dog is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.

Rachel took Toto straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. Rachel has accused Wow! My Dog of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo’s office launched an investigation against the company due to possible animal cruelty.

Rachel explained the injuries that he saw, saying, "I observed wounds around the neck and genital region." The wounds were so severe they caused bleeding."

Marianna De las Vegas is a Wow! My Dog customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.

Wow! My Dog also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. Rachel shared, "Juliann informed me that taping the mouth shut is a normal and acceptable method, claiming it is preferable to using a muzzle, which he believes can be harmful to dogs. He said that he uses the method himself on his dogs.

Gate News called Wow! My Dog, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these animal abuse day allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
